prehnite
prehnite is known mainly for 2 attributes: communicating with
otherworld entities & precognition. i haven't worked with this stone as
much as others, but here are a few insights. first off, communicating
with entities: i have heard everything from the archangel gabriel to
extraterrestrials with this stone & the first thing you will want to do is
make sure you are grounded & aura clean. one of the best stones for
grounding is of course obsidian. IMO one should probably have a good
familiarity with obsidian before beginning any serious channeling or
paranormal work. obsidian is a "face reality" stone, & above all you will
want to try to keep your experiences authentic & not fantasy-based.
you don't want to be "channeling" a thought-form in your aura that got
stuck there because you happen to like a character on a TV show.
(smoky quartz & iolite are good for help clearing this kind of aura
pollution.) another good truth stone is lapis lazuli.
if it's higher-order entities or angels you want to talk to, angelite or
celestite are the combo stones to add. if extraterrestrials, moldavite.
the use of a combination of stones will often give better
results--possibly because you're approaching the situation from more
than one angle.
being determined to experient with every stone known to
humankind, i got some prehnite & put a piece in with my main
medicine bag before sleep. i wasn't trying to do anything with it, you
understand, just familiarize. on a (possibly stupid) whim i put a piece of
moldavite in there also. the result: i woke up from a really dumb dream
about destroying former selves/personas (kung fu style no less) with
my crown chakra blown wide open & a male voice talking sternly in
some language i never heard before. no idea idea who this was: could
be an archangel, could be an alien, could be the cosmic jailer for all i
know. i have kind of left this combo alone since then, since channeling
is not something i'm actively working on. on the other hand, if you're
determined to log into the cosmic chatroom, this may be a good
combination ;)
on developing precognition: one of my first-- & lasting-- impressions
is "oh, okay it's one of those pineal gland stones." now, one thing the
pineal gland does (on a mundane level) is govern the circadian rhythm.
this is your basic day/night sense, when you are awake or asleep. if
you use melatonin to reset your inner time clock, you know what i'm
talking about. one of the best insights i've had about circadian rhythm
actually comes from this stone: somewhere deep in the cellular level is
some genetic memory of floating, which seems to be connected to sea
creatures/plants anchoring themselves among the rhythm of waves in
the sea. so there is a natural rhythm to this stone which probably helps
some people in transcending time. you'll want to remember the lesson
of sea creatures who anchor (ground) themselves of course. pineal
gland stones tend to be a little floaty & strange & need extra grounding
to help authenticate the experience. not something you'll want to wear
for hours at the office, in other words. i often get a visual wavering
effect with pineal stones (kind of like a neptune transit). one other thing
i've noticed with most pineal gland stones is that the visions tend to be
interpretive: that is, artistic-type visions you may need to interpret.
obsidian is a useful grounding stone, jasper i feel is also recommended
here. you'll probably want to add lapis lazuli or another truth stone. for
enhancing prophesy, you might add emerald. of the 2 popular prophesy
stones, prehnite & emerald, emerald seems more grounded (&
therefore possibly more reliable in the long run) but this is generally
considered a stone you shouldn't use too often.
i feel another good stone to use in combo would be stillbite, but this
is something i'd have to research a little more.
